Mamelodi!

Hello! Life is just breezing by!
Mamelodi is an awesome area! And my companion is super awesome as well. His name is Elder Fitzgerald, i dont know if i said that last week. He is from Utah, from springville.
We have been having a good time here in mamelodi, it's a tough area but we are p for the challenge. We are ready to work hard and give the lord everything we got. The other elders in my district are the zone leaders Elder Ruben and Elder Voyels. They are pretty awesome, I love these guys and cant wait to just dive deeper and deeper in the lords work here.
We played touch rugby today for my first time today. I actually enjoyed that game? It was way fun so that is pretty awesome! We also went to a music store for a while and got to use some guitars and stuff that was pretty awesome. My companion is pretty good with the guitar and one of the elders in the district (elder Ruben) has been playing the piano since he was 7 so he enjoyed that.
Otherwise i have got to meet some awesome people in mamelodi but i don't have time to talk today so i'll share more next week!

"Not sure where I'll find the heart to pour into this area but I'll find it somewhere."

Alright everyone! This past week has been pretty awesome!

We were doing great work here in Polokwane and just got home/visiting teaching instituted over at the university of Limpopo. Which was awesome! We also got several of the less actives from there to come to church on Sunday!

I have been here in Polokwane for six months and the amount of wonderful devolpment that has happened with the members and the branch is just so awesome to have witnessed, and i am so thankful to the lord for having let me serve in this area.

However now is the time, i have been transferred and i am now moving to Mamelodi, it's a town ship in Pretoria south Africa. I have poured my heart out into Polokwane and seen wonderful things happen. Now i will just have to find a heart to pour into mamelodi! It is sad to leave Polokwane and all of the people here but i will go and do as the lord commands.

I am leaving my freshly trained companion here in Polokwane! And the awesome thing is he has been called to be a trainer as well! Right after training. He will be with elder Thomson(sadly he is not training the new elder smith) And i have been asked to serve as a district leader.

I had to say goodbye to everybody yesterday and today and its been sad, but exciting to be able to move on and go to another area and meet the people that are waiting for me over there.

Anyway, i dont have much to say today! so i guess thats it!

"You know the zone leaders don't have food at their flat"

Lets get into it!

This week was pretty awesome! We had Baptisms, A zone activity, and all in all it was just a super awesome week!

let me first explain why you received three emails from me. There was just too many pictures, i couldn't narrow it down anymore... Eish, sorry my friends!

But any, going back to Sunday, we had three awesome baptisms of three amazing sisters. It was just awesome to see people doing their best and following the lord with all their heart.

Otherwise, we went to Tzaneen for the zone activity this week and finally i got to go play with the lions! And tons of other animals!

Cant say i didn't freak out a little when one lion basically started eating my head... But hey, im just okay, no need to fear!

It was all pretty awesome, but i am super tired and out of time so i ought to go! Waiting for transfer news to come next week!

Crazy Life

Yo yo yo!

This week has been super awesome, i cant explain entirely why, but i can say it was awesome!

We got to meet with some awesome people this week that i was teaching back in November but they left for holiday. One of them Leshira (which btdubs means wedding dress in Sbetti) Brought two friends with her! That was super awesome so we got two new investigators from that. And they seem super interested. At the end of the lesson we invited them to be baptized and they said they want to. So we will see whats up when we meet with them again! Leshira and one of the two came to church, which is sweet because they live far, and new investigators from that area rarely come to church.

The other one is Sine, she is pretty cool, and immediately told us when she got back that she is not ready to get baptized, but she is still very interested. We talked about it and she said there is just some things she has doubts about. It seems that the missionaries who taught her before never really focused on how important the book of mormon is. So we talked about that and i think we will be able to give her a baptism date this week.

Then on Sunday we had a baptism for an 11 year old boy named Lwandile, unfortunately for Elder Spence and Lwandile the water drained half way during church.... The font was definitely plugged... It just has problems.... So it was a struggle for the baptism, after three failed attempts (his feet kept sticking out) we had to add more water to the font and wait a while. But otherwise it was good.

This week i went on exchanges with the zone leaders and finally got to leave Polokwane for a day. That was super awesome not having to worry about what we would do all day. I went to lenyenye, which is like a village on the outskirts of tzaneen. We had to use someone to translate one of our lessons, which i have not done since i was in botswanna, so that was a flashback. Its a super cool place, tzaneen is the greenest place in the mission and its super cool. Their flat also has air con so that was super sweet. i woke up in the morning in tzaneen and man, i felt like i was in Oregon, i talked to one of the zone leaders( Elder Denton, he is actually from Oregon) about that and he said yeah, he seriously feels like he is waking up back home.  it's unlike any other place in the mission.

The scripture for this week is 3 nephi 18:21. No matter who we are in the family we have a responsibility to support one another and make sure that we are doing things the lords way.
Having family prayer is something that we have been directed to do and as with every commandment it comes with many blessings. The blessings that come from this are more numerous than i can list but i can promise if we work together as families to always have family prayer it will bring harmony and joy into the family.

Love Elder Smith
